Darla T. Oringderff, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 25 years of experience working in schools, private practice, early intervention, hospitals, in-patient rehab and home-based programs. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Houston, where I received the Outstanding Graduation Clinician award.
My reason for founding Sunflower Speech Therapy was to provide speech and language therapy with a personalized approach. By serving a smaller number of children, I can offer boutique level services and get to know each child and their families, thus creating a tailored and individualized approach to foster lasting success.
I believe in a community-based approach to therapy, with the most successful student's receiving support from the parents, caregivers and teachers. While I may be the expert on speech and language, you are the expert on your child. Partnering with a child’s community makes the most significant impact.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, Latin social dancing, and gardening. I also have graphic arts degree, a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and I am the mother of an adult daughter with Autism and son with ADHD.
